File Metadata Viewer
Inspect and manage metadata for PDF and image files.

Inspect and Clean File Metadata

Every file contains hidden data, or 'metadata'. This tool allows you to safely inspect that data for PDF and image files. You can view document properties, image resolutions, and more. For enhanced privacy, you can also strip this metadata, creating a clean file.

How It Works

  1. Upload a PDF or image file (JPG, PNG, WEBP).
  2. The tool will instantly display any metadata it finds, organized into sections like 'File Details' and 'PDF Properties'.
  3. For PDFs, you have the option to 'Edit' or 'Remove All' metadata.
  4. For images, you can 'Strip Image Metadata' to remove all EXIF data.
  5. After processing, a 'Download' button will appear to save your cleaned or edited file.

Common Use Cases

  • Checking the author and creation date of a PDF document.
  • Removing GPS coordinates and camera information from a photo before sharing it online.
  • Verifying the dimensions and properties of an image file.
  • Editing the 'Title' and 'Author' fields of a PDF for professional presentation.
